Aims and objectives

The Centre for Modern Foreign languages helps students and staff of UCU learn foreign languages, provides a top-level education for students enrolled in UCU by offering additional lessons and extra-curricular activities for students and staff.


The Centre for Modern Foreign Languages at the Ukrainian Catholic University was founded in 2006. However, its history began with the restored LTA (later the Ukrainian Catholic University) in 1994. From the very beginning, the University stressed the great importance of studying foreign languages, especially English. In the first years of the institution’s existence, the tradition of English Language Summer Schools began.

Latest events of the Center

For lecturers

The English language is one of the requirements for employment at UCU. For its part, the university creates opportunities for staff to improve their knowledge. Two times a week it is possible during work hours to participate in courses to study foreign languages at the Center of Modern Foreign Languages.
