History

The Centre for Modern Foreign Languages at the Ukrainian Catholic University was founded in 2006. However, its history began with the restored LTA (later the Ukrainian Catholic University) in 1994.

Fom the very beginning the University stressed the great importance of studying foreign languages, especially English. In the first years of the institution’s existence the tradition of English Language Summer Schools began.

Aims and objectives

The Centre for Modern Foreign languages helps students and staff of UCU learn foreign languages, provides a top-level education for students enrolled in UCU by offering additional lessons and extra-curricular activities for students and staff, such as the language clubs, language schools, discussion clubs.
